Remember Miss Cambridgeshire? The doctor turned beauty queen who swept the board at this year’s regional beauty contest?

Well, she’s done it again.

Fifth year medic, Carina Tyrrell, has been named Miss Beach Beauty 2014.

“Miss has to be a well-rounded person” – Carina Tyrrell, 8th April 2014

She will now be fast-tracked to the Miss England final later this month, which she described as a chance to “give something back”.

“Maybe if I can do well in Miss England I will be able to do that. I think Cambridge has given me so much, from the hospital to the university.

“My desire to help those in need is very strong and this is reflected in my training to become a doctor.”

As well as taking first prize in the beach beauty contest, Carina has also won a luxury trip to Mauritius.

Last week all the finalists headed to Torquay, Devon, for a photoshoot on the deck of a luxury yacht.

Miss England director Angie Beasley said: “The Beach Beauty round of the competition remains as popular as ever.

“It is an integral part of the Grand Final and there are always plenty of iconic images of the girls on the beautiful beach at Torquay.”

Iconic.

Carina told The Tab: “I’m thrilled to have won this round of the Miss England competition and I’m really looking forward to the rest of the competition in Torquay.”
